Conor McGregor has claimed he broke an acting payday record when he makes his movie debut in the reboot of cult classic Roadhouse.

McGregor will star alongside Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal in the reboot after filming the movie in late 2022 and early 2023.

The Dubliner was joined by his family in the Dominican Republic as he filmed the movie and it is set to be released sometime in 2024.

And McGregor has claimed he will break a record first the highest-paid first-time actor.

Replying to a tweet from Halle Berry who asked Twitter users to tell her something she doesn't know and McGregor said: "I am the highest paid first time actor of all time."

UFC president Dana White confirmed that McGregor is still to go through six months of USADA testing, despite confirming that he did re-enter the pool on October 8. If this is to be true, McGregor would have been eligible to fight in April, but White stated that the summer is more likely for him.

McGregor has already revealed that he has received two negative tests from the agency, in the hopes of returning as soon as possible - potentially facing Michael Chandler at UFC 300.

But it appears that the former two-weight champion will not be on that card.

McGregor's coach John Kavanagh confirmed that 'The Notorious' is back in full training, after being seen with former PFL champion Brendan Loughnane in recent weeks as preparations, and the wait, for a much anticipated return to the octagon in 2024 go on.

Kavanagh told Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour: “He has been really enjoying it again. He is looking forward to it. We were hoping for April. That is what we were told and the hope. But now it appears to be summer time.”
