Guinness fans have had their say on Conor McGregor's Forged Irish Stout as the UFC star continues his large-scale launch.

McGregor launched the stout when he opened his Dublin Pub the Black Forge Inn back in 2021 and 2023 has seen him launch the stout on a larger scale.

The Forged Irish Stout is now available to purchase in select off licenses around the country and draught options are beginning to pop up around Ireland and the UK as well as the USA.

And Guinness fans have had their say and reviews were overwhelmingly positive for McGregor's stout.

One stout drinker said: "Finally got my hands on Forged Irish Stout. Very drinkable. It’s better than Brew dog black heart. but certainly not as good as Guinness, though after the weekend it maybe closer or further too the holy water than I’m currently thinking, Sláinte."

While another said: "I like it, gets a pass. Had it canned before and was a fan of that."

"Not a bad stout more creamer taste than Guinness but nice," another stout drinker said.

And another user continued the high praise, saying: " I was suprised at how well it tasted and stayed creamy to be fair. He’s done a decent job with it."

The Irish Mirror previously reviewed the Forged Irish Stout for ourselves and were suitably impressed.

At the time of the review in August 2023, we said that it was suitably nice and creamy and that the taste matched up with any other stout as well as easy to drink.

And to make comparisons fair we even tried a pint of Guinness straight after. The Forged Irish Stout may not fully match up to the black stuff but it did run it close.
