Authorities have been left baffled in Dublin after there was nobody to be seen following a horror rollover crash in Tallaght on Saturday.

Dublin Fire Brigade, the fire, rescue and emergency ambulance service for the capital, arrived at the scene of the collision on Kiltipper Road at approximately 8:30pm on Saturday, August 12, Dublin Live reports.

A Dublin Fire Brigade spokesperson stated that the vehicle had "no occupants upon their arrival."

Taking to Twitter, a Dublin Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "The Kiltipper Road was closed last night following a roll over road traffic collision. There were no occupants on arrival and the road remained blocked until recovery took place."

The road was temporarily blocked off before reopening to traffic later on, authorities have confirmed.

A spokesperson also commented: "One fire engine from Tallaght fire station along with an emergency tender from Dolphins Barn fire station were mobilised to the incident.

"The road was closed pending recovery and the scene handed over to Gardai."

Dublin Fire Brigade had a busy weekend, having also responded to a van on fire in Phibsbourough on Sunday night.

A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Phibsborough firefighters were called to a van on fire last night. A high pressure hose reel was used to extinguish the vehicle and the fire was prevented from spreading to nearby hoarding."
