The Preston Charity Playing Field Trustees are to hold a meeting on Monday 20th May at the Playing Field Pavilion at 7pm. Items on the agenda include an update on fundraising for the proposed children's play area and the ongoing pavilion refurbishment. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Preston Fire Station are to hold a Charity Open Day on Saturday 1st June 4pm to 6pm. Events will include live firefighters demonstrations, fire engine display, hog roast and live music. The firefighters are also organizing a Scarecrow competition which will run from 25th May to 1st June. Entries must be in by 7th May 2013.
In celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of the Queens Coronation the Parish Council are to organise a Family Sports Day at the Preston Charity Playing Field, Addison Road on Sunday 2nd June 2013. The format for the day will follow that of last years very successful Jubilee Sports Day, however, the Council would like to hear from residents who may have other ideas or would like to get involved in helping to organise the event.
