Pop star Pink has revealed she’s been hospitalised after fracturing her ankle while running down the stairs.

The singer, 41, took to her Instagram on Saturday to share a selfie from her hospital bed after breaking her ankle.

The mum-of-two revealed how she’d managed to injure herself as she rounded the year off with yet another ailment.

Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, has already suffered staph infection, slashed her thumb open and battled coronavirus this year.

She wrote to fans alongside a snap of her with her thumb up: “As if surviving covid wasn’t enough for this poop sandwich of a year!

“Well, I got my stitches out from drying that wine glass, that went well.

“Then I recovered from my very first staph infection for no reason (cry for help?) (right knee was lonely?) so I thought I’d fracture my ankle!”

Joking about her run of bad luck, Pink continued: “Later tonight I’m gonna climb inside a raw chicken and see if I can’t check out what salmonella’s like! 2020 is the gift that keeps on giving…”

The three-time Grammy winning star explained how she managed to come upon her most recent injury, telling followers: “I was actually running down the stairs trying to see the Christmas star! Ha!

“Turns out it’s not until the 21st. Happy holidays everyone! Who wants a Negroni!”

Earlier this year, the Family Portrait hitmaker revealed her “terrifying” experience after she and her three-year-old son Jameson contracted coronavirus.

They contracted the killer bug at the beginning of April.

Admitting that she and her son are now finally fully recovered from their sickness, Pink described it as the most challenging period of her life.

The singer opened up about her and Jameson's 'physically and emotionally challenging' battle with the deadly disease in a thought-provoking and eye-opening essay.

The Just Like A Pill hitmaker shocked fans when she revealed that she and her son tested positive for the coronavirus after showing symptoms.

Pink waited until both herself and Jameson were recovered and back to full health before she announced the battle that they had been through together.

Not long after sharing the terrifying news, the singer - who is also mother to daughter Willow, eight - took to Instagram to pledge one million dollars to coronavirus relief charities.
