Strictly Come Dancing fans were left heartbroken for pro Carlos Gu on Saturday night.

During the latest episode, which was Blackpool week, pro dancer Carlos, 30, and Angela Scanlon danced the Argentine Tango to Back To Black by Amy Winehouse. The duo left the judges seriously impressed, scoring an incredible three 10s and one 8, totalling 38 points.

After the routine and fantastic feedback, Carlos and Angela, 39, spoke to host Claudia Winkleman, where Carlos broke down in tears. The emotional professional dancer said: "I'm so proud of her! I'm so happy the judges gave the comment to her like that, she's been down actually quite a few weeks and that, I'm just really happy" to which a touched Angela wiped his tears away.

The duo then received their 38 points score to which Carlos broke down in tears again with Claudia, 51, insisting: "No, I don't want you to cry!" with Carlos admitting: "I'm not, I'm tears of happiness!" Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Carlos crying made me sob btw #strictly!", a different account put: "I love Carlos so much. He’s so wholesome. #Strictly!" while another viewer wrote: "carlos crying because it’s been a hard few weeks and he’s so happy that angela has finally got the praise she deserves my sweet boy,,, #strictly."

Elsewhere, one viewer wrote: "#strictly I understand Carlos getting emotional, they’ve been under marking Angela for weeks!", a different account put: "Oh bless Carlos he’s so sweet #strictly", another viewer said: "Awwwww Carlos crying got to me. He deserves all the hugs #Strictly" with crying emojis while a different show watcher added: "Carlos in tears cus Angela is finally getting the credit she deserves. 10 worthy!!! #Strictly!"

Elsewhere on the show, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola danced a Charleston to Love Machine by Girls Aloud, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin performed a Couple's Choice to Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguilera, and Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe did an American Smooth to Unchained Melody by Benedetta Caretta.

Also, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell performed a Jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham!, Nigel Harman and Katya Jones performed a Quickstep to It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) by Duke Ellington and Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington performed an American Smooth to Tea for Two by Ella Fitzgerald.
