There are calls for calm after an innocent woman was shot and a house was set on fire amid a bitter gangland dispute in Tallaght, south Dublin.
The woman was shot in the hip and leg area with a suspected pellet gun at around 10:10pm at Swiftbrook in Jobstown on Tuesday night.
The woman is understood to have presented herself to Tallaght Hospital on Tuesday night, and subsequently discharged herself this morning.

In the meantime a house was set alight in an apparent firebomb attack in the nearby Bawnlea area of Jobstown on Tuesday night.
A car was also discovered burnt out nearby - and there are now major fears of further attacks in a growing gang dispute. It is understood that nobody who was targeted in any of these latest incidents has any involvement in the feud.
Sources say the woman’s shooting occurred amidst an ongoing gangland feud between two rival drug gangs in the area that has seen a spate of violent incidents this year.
Speaking to The Irish Mirror near the scene, local Independent councillor Dermot Richardson called for peace in the feud - and said the community is living in fear.

"People are fearful of what's happening in the area. I think they're just scared. There are many innocent people living in and around this area and you know I just ask for calm in the area.
"That's really all I would say, keep calm and you know if there’s anything we can do to stop this feud going on that's what we’re here for.
"Contact any one of the Tallaght councillors and we would be willing to help try and sort things out. I’m calling for peace," he said.
The feud has seen the grave of a child - who is related to the female victim, desecrated in a criminal damage incident earlier this year.
The feud is believed to have arisen amid a dispute over drugs - and a subsequent turf war has ensued.
In a statement on Wednesday morning gardai said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a number of incidents in Tallaght yesterday evening, Tuesday 21st November 2023.
"At approximately 10:10pm, Gardaí received reports of the discharge of a firearm at a residential premises in the Jobstown area. A woman aged, in her 30s, presented to Tallaght Hospital with a suspected gunshot injury. Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

"Later in the evening Gardaí and emergency services attended incidents of criminal damage by fire of a car and of a house at separate locations in the Jobstown area.
"No other injuries have been reported.
"Scenes have been put in place by Gardaí and technical examinations are ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
"Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Jobstown area, between 9.30pm and 3:00am, who may have witnessed these incidents to come forward.
"Gardaí are appealing to those with camera footage or to any motorist with dash cam footage to make it available to them.
